Food & Drink Events

Redesigning the way the AJC promotes one of its most popular beats, food & drink. [2023]

  • The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

  • Graphic Designer

  • I designed new, creative templates for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to promote their monthly “food & drink events to check out” series that included a fun calendar for users to easily save the dates for their favorite events.

  • The Atlanta Journal-Constitution produces a monthly column of Atlanta events offering food and drinks. The goal is to promote these events to readers so they can support local restaurants, find fun things to do around the city every month, and enjoy tasty bites! But, the merriment from the article failed to translate to social media.

With the majority of Her Campus’ following being 18-24 year-olds (39.3%) and 25-34 year-olds (37.7%), we serve college students. We have a responsibility to serve our campus community by providing resources and relief through our social media channels.

  • Repurposing the food & drink series for social media brought fresh, fun graphics to social media that invigorated the beat across platforms. Social users were able to view the events at a glance and save the posts via Instagram for future reference.
