My Story

ABOUT ME

I am an entertainment journalist, content creator, and podcast producer from Jacksonville, FL currently based in Atlanta, GA. I hope to use my creative talent to capture Black culture and propel the liberation of Black women forward as a member of the next generation of game-changers.

As an undergraduate student at Clark Atlanta University, I built Her Campus’ online presence as the Social Media Director for Her Campus through digital campaigns, created promotional graphics for events by Clark Atlanta University’s Mass Media Arts Department in partnership with large corporations such as Viacom, and advocated for students interested in digital media as the VP of Digital for the National Association of Black Journalists. In May of 2023, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Radio & TV.

Off-campus, I cultivated my craft at companies such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy.

I launched ‘Listen To Black Women’ in 2018 and expanded it in 2020 to showcase the true essence of Black womanhood and broadcast the beauty of Black culture through cultural commentary. It has grown into a multi-media platform with social media content on Instagram at @Listen2BlackWomen, editorials on Listen2BlackWomen.net, and podcast episodes on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Emerging Media at the University of Georgia. The program marries design and technology to teach professionals how to use new and existing platforms and software to bring creative ideas to life. I am currently in my final year of the program, sharpening my skills in courses teaching graphic design, front-end web development (coding), app development (coding), user experience design, brand identity, product ideation, project management, and digital storytelling.
